Usually this goes the other way, no?

Mitch Trubsiky, as he was known in college, has made it clear at the NFL Combine that he wants to be known as Mitchell Trubisky from this point forward. This means officially listing his name as Mitchell on all rosters and team promotional pieces, writing his full name on in editorial, and even being called by his full name by teammates. Mitch is no longer. Mitchell is here to stay.

At the NFL Combine right now, Rich Eisen called into The Dan Patrick Show to discuss the odd timing of this name change and what it might do to Trubisky's draft stock (hint: absolutely nothing).
