The Los Angeles Lakers took a 3-1 lead on the Golden State Warriors in their 2nd round NBA Playoff series on the back of 15 4th quarter points from journeyman Lonnie Walker IV. While most NBA fans may not have known his name prior to last night, they do now. He nearly outscored the entire Warriors team during that 4th quarter, leading the Lakers to a hard-fought victory. He joins the ranks of former Laker legends Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, Pau Gasol and his teammate LeBron James as the only Lakers in the last 25 years to record such an epic scoring performance in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.
Dan Patrick: “Lonnie Walker Junior the Fourth, come on down! If you don’t know him, you might remember him. He had some wild hair when he played at The U, and he’s been with the Lakers all year long. All of a sudden you go: Lonnie Walker is lighting up the Golden State Warriors!”
