The Patriots are In Serious Trouble

Before the season started, the New England Patriots were being hailed as the best team in the NFL. They were the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl, and at least one major sports media publication predicted they would finish the season 19-0.

Not so fast, sweetheart...

While Tom Brady continues to defy Father Time (1,092 yards passing, 8:0 TD/INT ratio, 121.5 QBR), the Patriots, and their defense in particular, have been underwhelming. Through the first 3 weeks of the season, the Patriots have fielded the worst defense in the league - by far. They are last in total defense, last in scoring defense, last in passing defense, and are in the bottom-third of rushing defense.

Clay Travis says the Patriots look nothing like the prohibitive Super Bowl favorites they were made out to be, and they need to get their act together if they plan on hoisting the Lombardi Trophy again this February.
