Most People Don't Want Athletes to Be Political

With the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles was set to visit the White House on Tuesday, President Donald Trump rescinded the invite to the team on Monday. The White House announced that less than 10 members of the Eagles team opted to meet with the President and so, they decided to cancel the meeting altogether.

This brings Clay Travis back to a point that he has been trying to hammer home for over a year. The majority of people do not care about star athletes' political opinions. Michael Jordan has the most successful brand of any athlete ever, and it was thanks to never expressing his political opinions. Athletes today need to realize that despite what they see on social media, it HURTS their brand to express their political views.
