As much of Russia has embraced World Cup fever, some people may have taken it a bit too far. Burger King in Russia had to issue an apology Wednesday after offering a promotion in which customers could win over $40,000 and free Whoppers for life if they succeeded in getting pregnant by a World Cup athlete (who knows how they would have been able to receive confirmation on the feat).
