Doug Gottlieb and Jason McIntyre (filling in for Dan Patrick) get into a discussion about Kyrie Irving and what he means to this young high potential Boston Celtics team that's not playing at the standards of their hype. The team made a lot of noise in the NBA playoffs last year and were poised to be a dangerous threat with nearly all of their talent being healthy at the beginning of the season. So far they've had a season filled with ups and downs, including chemistry issues.
Pair that with Kyrie Irving being hurt, once again, and the Celtics winning in his absence and Jason Mcintyre thinks it's time to acknowledge that the Celtics are better without Kyrie Irving. Doug Gottlieb disagrees thinking much of the success of the Celtics have more to do with facing weaker competition while Kyrie was missing from the lineup.
