Michigan State Was Royally Screwed By Selection Committee

Listen to Clay Travis explain why he believes the NCAA Selection Committee went out of their way to screw over the Michigan State Spartans by putting them in the same region as the Duke Blue Devils, a team when healthy is by far the most terrifying matchup in college basketball.

Tom Izzo’s Spartans won the Big Ten Tournament championship and the conference’s regular season title, which included a three-game sweep of the Michigan Wolverines, yet Sparty was placed in Duke’s region, the unanimous number 1 seed, while Michigan was sent to Gonzaga’s region, widely considered the weakest number one.

Check out the audio below as Clay wonders why the selection committee, who releases their seeds 1-16 to the public, doesn’t simply do what college football does and have set 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 block seeding, instead of the ambiguous format they use now.
