Klay Thompson Says He Walked Out of 'Avengers Endgame'

Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson apparently didn't get to catch the epic last scene that many people were talking about in Avengers 'EndGame.'

According to The Athletic’s Ethan Strauss, he did a deep dive on this current Warriors team and shared a story of when Klay Thompson went to the world premiere of Avengers Endgame.

Thompson conserves his energy for what he loves, and he’s always been impatient with any less than favored activity. There was amusement in Warriors land when, with an hour left in the film, Klay just got up and left a screening of “Avengers: Endgame.” The plot didn’t interest him, not enough to demand that much time and attention.

So far this series, Thompson is shooting 30.8% from three-point range and 38.7% from the field overall, struggling to have the kind of impact on the game we are all use to seeing. If the Warriors eventually lose this series to the Rockets, Klay Thompson will be a free agent and could possibly look to move on.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, if the Warriors do not offer Klay Thompson the max, look for him to come to Los Angeles.

“If they come with a five-year, $190 million max deal for Klay Thompson, that’s done on July 1 he’s going into the new building with Steph Curry,” Wojnarowski said as a guest of ESPN Get Up!. “If they try to do anything less than that, you can expect Klay Thompson to be out in free agency. Watch not for the Lakers then, but the Clippers.”
