Ric Bucher: Klay Thompson Probable to Start Game 4, Kevin Durant Game 5

Listen to NBA insider Ric Bucher join The Herd to talk a 2019 NBA Finals that has offered up some of the most rampant injuries of any postseason series in league history.

Both teams are miles away from being 100% with the Toronto Raptors boasting notable injuries to Kawhi Leonard’s knee, and Kyle Lowry’s thumb, but the Golden State Warriors are on a completely different level with Kevin Durant still nursing a clandestine Achilles injury and Klay Thompson trying to battle through a hamstring injury.

Bucher says he doesn’t think the Warriors’ decision to sit Thompson was a very complicated one and believes the team is playing these injuries extremely conservatively with the thought process of not testing anyone’s health in games still early in the series.

Check out the audio below as Bucher says he expects Thompson to start Game 4 and Durant to return for Game 5, but says the team is playing its hands depending on the current count of the series.
