Why the Dallas Cowboys Need to Get Rid of Dak Prescott

New York Giants v San Francisco 49ers
Jason McIntyre: “Dak Prescott is an average-to-below average quarterback in the NFL. I would rather pay Andy Dalton $20 million than Dak Prescott $30 million. I don’t think Dak is very good. If you look at the advanced analytics according to Football Outsiders, Dak is like the 24th best quarterback in the league. I know some people are going to get angry with this but if I’m Jerry Jones and I don’t want to pay Dak, I would try and make some kind of run for 49ers backup Nick Mullens. I know people are going to say I’m an idiot, but I’m telling you, you NEED a quarterback on that cheap rookie deal. I think they should offer a second round pick for Mullens.”
Jonas Knox: “HOT TAKE OF THE CENTURY! NICK MULLENS IS THE NEW STARTING QUARTERBACK FOR THE DALLAS COWBOYS!” (FULL Audio at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Jason McIntyre explain why he thinks the Dallas Cowboys needs to dump Dak Prescott and go acquire San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback Nick Mullens.

McIntyre says Dak is ‘not a very good quarterback’ and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would be insane to award a puny caliber QB like Dak with a $30 million+ contract if they can look elsewhere for talented signal-callers still on their rookie deals. McIntyre believes Mullens is a highly unheralded backup who could do some damage if surrounded by the type of supporting cast that Dallas offers.

Check out the audio below as McIntyre tries to reason with co-host Jonas Knox (Filling in for Rob Parker and Chris Broussard this week) on why this isn’t the hottest sports take of the century.
