Jason Witten Says Twitter Is NFL Locker Room Poison

Jason Witten had a chat with Dan Patrick to talk in-depth about the Dallas Cowboy's victory over the New York Giants in week 1 of the NFL season.

Witten wrote an opinion piece about how twitter has become NFL locker room poison. Patrick asks him if he talks to younger players about this issue and why he felt this piece needed to be written.

"I was in the league when you didn't have all that (Social Media). If you go to try to get accepted by that twitter noise, it's really gonna be lonely. For players to come in and think, 'I had five targets and only got one catch,' and checking that, and allowing that to kinda form who they are...you gotta be above that."

Witten thinks this issue extends beyond just playing football. Players who reach the end of their career and take up broadcasting also need to be willing to shut out the noise from social media.
