Nick Swisher: Yankees vs. Astros ALCS is the Real World Series

League Championship Series - New York Yankees v Houston Astros - Game Two
Nick Swisher: “With the Dodgers’ heartbreaking loss, only two of the top three teams in baseball still remain. Not to take anything away from the Nationals and Cardinals, but if you wanted to watch the World Series, then this ALCS is going to be your World Series.” (Full Video at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Fox Sports baseball analyst and former World Series champion Nick Swisher join The Rich Eisen Show to explain why he thinks the American League Championship Series beginning on Saturday is the defacto World Series as the 107-win Astros play the 103-win Yankees in one of the most anticipated league championship series in baseball history.

With the 106-win Los Angeles Dodgers and 97-win Atlanta Braves already knocked out of the tournament, it’s not difficult to realize how high the stakes are for an ALCS with the sport’s two scariest teams in the same bracket.

The Yankees led baseball in runs scored and hit 306 home runs on the season, which is the second most in MLB history, behind only the 2019 Twins who hit 307.

The Astros led baseball in run differential and boast one of the most intimidating pitching staffs of the decade. Justin Verlander and Zack Greinke are two former Cy Young winners still in the midst of dominant careers and ace Gerrit Cole is on of the hottest runs of all time and should be your 2019 AL Cy Young winner this season.
