Chicago Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack bizarrely found himself in the headlines this week after a parent in Chicago uploaded a video outside Mack’s residence on Halloween that showed Mack refusing to hand out candy to Trick or Treaters.
Mack closed the gate to the front walkway of his suburban neighborhood mansion and literally paid someone to stand outside on the sidewalk and alert children and their parents that he was not partaking in the holiday, and that no candy would be given out at the residence.
The parent in the video then asked the guard why Mack wouldn’t just pay the guard himself to hand out the candy just to be ‘neighborly’, but the man said he was asked to say ‘This House is Not Participating this Year.’
The parent then laughed and told the guard ‘Wow, that’s brutal, I hope he moves really soon.'
