Colin Cowherd: Sean McVay & Jared Goff Rams Dynasty is Over After One Year

Colin Cowherd: “From day one I kept saying ‘Let's slow down on Sean McVay as a genius’ and ‘Let’s slow down on the Rams being the future of the NFL’… We used to joke around saying ‘Are the Rams using a different bank than the rest of us and using one of these offshore banks??’ Folks, this morning the bank came to collect on the Rams and they're a little short. They’re now 6-5, have no first round picks the next 3 years, McVay is the second best young coach in his own division [Kyle Shanahan] , they’ve got to pay Todd Gurley a fortune, Brandin Cooks may retire soon from concussion issues, they have major offensive line issues, and Jared Goff next year will be the biggest cap hit in the entire league. They look old, stale, tired, and slow right now. We got way too hot on the Rams and I never thought it was sustainable.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the short-lived Los Angeles Rams ‘dynasty’ is already over, a day after Los Angeles was handed one of the most humiliating blowout losses in the history of Monday Night Football.

Coming off a 13-3 season in which they made it all the way to the Super Bowl, the Rams were being looked upon as the NFC’s next great powerhouse who was going to be at the top of the NFC West standings for years to come with an impenetrable core of Sean McVay, Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, and Aaron Donald.

A year later and the Rams are 6-5 and out of the playoff chase, Goff has the fourth worst QBR in the NFL, and Gurley’s career as a Pro Bowl running back is essentially over from degenerative career-threatening knee issues.

And did we mention Gurley and Goff are two of the biggest cap hits in the league at their position?

Check out the video above as Colin details why he never bought into the McVay-led Rams reigning supreme in the NFC for the next decade.
