Colin Cowherd: Baker Mayfield is Not a Franchise Quarterback

Colin Cowherd: “Are we sure Baker Mayfield is not just a guy who can ‘win some games’? Take out his three wins versus Cincinnati the last two years and what is he?? Not very good. Athletic? Way overrated. Accurate? Used to be. Temperate? Nightmare. Mistakes? Too many of them. What is so special about him? Baker is Gardner Minshew with a little stronger arm. (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he doesn’t think Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield is a legitimate franchise quarterback going forward in a season where the Browns have been the NFL’s most disappointing team.

Mayfield has as many interceptions (17) as touchdown passes (17), and is ranked 29th in completion percentage and 31st in passer rating.

Colin says Mayfield is ‘just another guy who can win you games’ the likes of lukewarm talents Nick Foles, Case Keenum, or Andy Dalton, even going so far to say that Mayfield is ‘Gardner Minshew with a little stronger arm’.

Colin says Mayfield lacks in the four biggest categories: he’s not athletic, he’s not accurate, he lacks a level-headed temperament, and makes too many mistakes.
