Colin Cowherd Hands Out Grades for Super Bowl LIV

Listen to Colin Cowherd hand out his grades for Super Bowl LIV as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a tense thriller that had the 49ers blow a 10-point lead with less than 8 minutes to play.

One of the most contentious storylines of the game was the quarterback play between Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo. Despite Garoppolo wearing the goat horns to many fans and pundits around the sport with under 220 yards passing, two interceptions, and a blown deep ball to Emmanuel Sanders in the dying moments, Colin thinks it’s nothing more than a ‘hot take’ to say Garoppolo played poorly.

Mahomes won Super Bowl MVP to the surprise of many, who thought Chiefs running back Damien Williams might take home the hardware for keeping the Chiefs offense afloat when Mahomes was playing some of the worst football of his entire career for the first three quarters.

Williams rushed for 104 yards on 17 carries with a touchdown on the ground, and had 4 catches for 29 yards with a touchdown through the air to boot. Williams’ 38-yard touchdown run with 1:12 left in the fourth quarter was the final deathblow to San Francisco to complete one of the worst chokes in Super Bowl history.
