Colin Cowherd: Jimmy Garoppolo Will Be Back Playing in Another Super Bowl

Colin Cowherd: “To me, it sounds like a hot take to say that Jimmy Garoppolo stunk. What game were you watching?? He had a really ugly interception, but Tom Brady has won Super Bowls throwing a pick six. Brady was TERRIBLE in the first half versus the Falcons and Garoppolo was never terrible yesterday… Jimmy G is now 7-2 in primetime games , and Patrick Mahomes is only .500. You want me to think he’s not going to get back to a Super Bowl?? He missed on an open deep ball late in the game, but let’s not go crazy here. He outplayed Mahomes for the first three quarters of the game. He’s got fewer than 30 starts and looked a lot better than the Brady I saw in his first Super Bowl win.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he doesn’t understand why Monday’s Super Bowl coverage is involving Jimmy Garoppolo as the big loser in yesterday’s Super Bowl.

Garoppolo finished 20 of 31 for 219 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, including a 40.6 QBR, and many pundits around the media have placed the goat horns on Jimmy G for his failed fourth quarter that saw the 49ers post zero points, and included a blown deep ball to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders that would have put the game out of reach.

Colin, however, thinks Garoppolo played much better than Tom Brady did in his first Super Bowl appearance versus the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI (2002), and says Garoppolo had outplayed Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for three quarters.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he thinks Garoppolo didn’t have that clunker game that everyone is saying he had, and why he believes Garoppolo will be back another in another Super Bowl.
