Three Moves the New England Patriots Can Make to Get Back to the Super Bowl

Doug Gottlieb: “The thing the Patriots do better than anyone else is identify their problems and try to go about fixing them. It’s the ‘chessboard’ part of the NFL. If you’re sitting in the Patriots ‘War Room’ the first thing you have to do is sign Tom Brady. They also need a tight end. To be a tight end you gotta be bright, durable, tough, and be able to be depended on in big games – did you see that Greg Olsen and the Panthers parted company and that Olsen hasn’t immediately gone to broadcasting yet? Wanna know the third move? They gotta fix wide receiver. They don’t draft well and rookie wide receivers don’t do well with Brady. You need a BIG-TIME wide receiver. Who is out there? Odell Beckham Jr… He’s basically Antonio Brown but with no off-field baggage the last two years.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Doug Gottlieb explain what he believes the New England Patriots front office has to do this offseason to save a once thriving dynasty from extinction, as for the first time in 20 years the franchise sits at a perilous crossroads.

With phenom quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson now firmly ahead of New England in the AFC, Gottlieb thinks the Patriots have to make a major statement this offseason by going after big names that would offer immediate impact on a roster that is already stacked on the defensive side of the ball.

Check out the video above as Gottlieb details why the team needs to re-sign Tom Brady, sign free agent tight end Greg Olsen, and trade for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
