Today on The Odd Couple, Chris Broussard and Rob Parker discuss the addition of F Marcus Morris for the Los Angeles Clippers. Rob and Chris say the Clippers were already favorites in their eyes, but with addition of Marcus Morris, they have cemented themselves as the favorite. Chris says that while Morris isn’t a superstar, he has put in good numbers with every team he’s been on and adds more toughness and hunger to a team that already has plenty of that. Rob says he thought the Clippers had an advantage in the front office and this proves it because they didn’t have to give up prime assets in order to acquire Morris. Plus, the guys say the Clippers haven’t been at full strength most of the season and are still the 2 seed in the west, which proves how good and deep they are. Chris also says the Lakers still have a shot, but LeBron will have to put up a heroic performance, Anthony Davis will have to be more of a 4th quarter scorer – with the mentality to carry the Lakers in the postseason when it matters most – and work on getting Davis to play winning basketball in important moments down the stretch.
