Colin Cowherd: James Harden Cares More About Statistics than Championships

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks James Harden cares more about his own personal statistics than actually finishing his career with multiple NBA titles, after a bizarre recent interview Harden had with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols.

Harden blasted Giannis Antetokounmpo for his sarcastic comments during the NBA All-Star Game draft Live on TNT, when Giannis, tasked with selecting between Kemba Walker, Trae Young, and Harden as the last three players on the board, selected Kemba, saying ‘I want someone who is gonna pass the ball.’

Harden took exception to the remarks during the interview with Nichols, mentioning how he has better assist numbers than Walker, and then went on to say of Giannis:

‘I wish I could just run and be 7 feet and just dunk. Like that takes no skill at all. I gotta actually learn how to play basketball, how to have skill. I take that any day.'

Colin says the interview summed up Harden’s career, as Harden openly acknowledged personal statistics as a way of elevating his own stature of himself.

Colin says it presented a clear example of who Harden is as a player; a guy who cares more about his NUMBERS, than actually being a superstar who would rather accumulate rings than stats.
