Chris Broussard Ranks His 5 Best NBA Players Under 23-Years-Old

Chris Broussard’s Top 5 NBA Players 23 Years Old and Younger

5. Trae Young:Trae Young is fantastic. I’m not going to say he’s going to become the next Steph Curry, but it is amazing how quickly we have seen another player play like Steph. Thirty points, 9 assists, gives you 4 rebounds, and I think he’s in the top 12 of Player Efficiency Rating.”

4. Zion Williamson: “People are going to think this is too low but I’ve got Zion here. He’s putting up historic numbers per minute, but he’s not rebounding very well and he’s not defending very well either. He’s 19 and I’m not trying to diss him, he’s a great player, but right now he would be the fourth guy that I would start a team with. I like how he doesn’t have to dominate the basketball and still gets me 25 points a night, but there are still limitations to his game and he’s not going to age as well as a lot of these other guys because once that athleticism is gone, it’s going to be a lot tougher on him.”

3. Ja Morant:A lot of people are tripping over me taking Ja over Zion, but I will EASILY. Ja is in a perimeter league now, and has already come in and done damage. Right now he has the Memphis Grizzlies in the playoffs even though they don’t have nearly the amount of talent as the Pelicans have.”

2. Jayson Tatum: “I’m not going to call him a superstar right now, but by next year he will be. One thing I love about him is that he has already shown us he can do it in the playoffs. This kid has great handle, he’s shooting 48% from three over the last month, he can get to the rack, shoot the midrange, dunk on you, AND defend. This kid is the truth.”

1. Luka Doncic: “He’s not LeBron James but he plays like LeBron. He’s not as athletic but as far as handling the ball, being a great passer, having the vision, and giving you 25-30 points a night, while being efficient for the most part. This dude is the truth.”
