Tom Brady & Bill Belichick Reportedly Had Hostile Phone Call Over Contract

One of the biggest questions during the NFL off-season has been which team Tom Brady will be playing for next season. The 42-year-old veteran quarterback will officially be an unrestricted free agent on March 18, and the New England Patriots appear unwilling to break their back to keep Brady around for another year or two.

Brady, who has won six Super Bowls with the Patriots, does not want to retire, and still thinks he can play, despite having a down year in 2019.

According to the Boston Herald, Brady and Patriots coach Bill Belichick spoke on the phone, but the conversation "didn't go well." It was the first time the two have talked about Brady's pending free agency, and a source told the newspaper that nothing came out of their conversation.

Multiple teams are interested in signing the veteran signal-caller. The San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans appear to be leading the pack, but other teams such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Chargers are also in the mix to sign Brady if he doesn't return to New England.
