Steelers Reportedly Have 'Zero Interest' in Signing Jameis Winston

Rich Eisen: “I know you mentioned Pittsburgh as a great spot for Jameis Winston a few weeks ago.”
Peter King: “Pittsburgh would be fantastic but I was told last week that they have zero interest in Jameis Winston. Just because I think it’s a good idea, doesn’t mean they do. The reason I think it would be great for him is I think it would be great for him to be a backup for a year, get some tough love from Mike Tomlin, bond with those guys, and basically step in on opening day 2021 or maybe even earlier… He obviously needs to cut down on the turnovers but he’s shown a lot of promise on and off the field in every other area… I think he would be an excellent risk to take if I needed an heir to my quarterback throne.” (Full Interview Above)

NFL insider Peter King made an appearance on The Rich Eisen and told Rich that he’s heard the Pittsburgh Steelers have ‘zero interest’ in free agent quarterback Jameis Winston, as King believed that the Steelers would make the most sense for the 26-year-old former Bucs Pro Bowler.

Winston is a coming off a season in which he led the league in passing yards and was second in touchdown passes, but the Buccaneers went ahead grabbing six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady off the free agent market in an attempt to instantly become a championship contender in 2020.

Check out the full interview above as King also speculates where Jameis or Cam Newton could land.
