Chris Broussard: “Who do you think was the best quarterback this decade?”
Rob Parker: “Aaron Rodgers, hands down. No if, ands, or buts. If you just want to say ‘Who won the most Super Bowls?’ and that’s the guy, then you would pick Brady, but that’s not what it’s about… ALL the numbers favor Rodgers except for the Super Bowl. In the playoffs Rodgers has a higher passer rating, and in the regular season during that decade he had way less interceptions, completed more passes than Brady, had a better completion percentage, and a better quarterback rating – 103.6 to 99.6. He had just a smidge under Brady’s touchdowns, 316-305, but Brady had 17 more interceptions. If you look it other than just Super Bowls, the numbers speak.” (Full Audio Above)
Listen to Rob Parker explain why he thinks Aaron Rodgers, NOT Tom Brady, was the best NFL quarterback of the decade, as the NFL and Pro Football Hall of Fame released an all-decade team this week of the best players of the 2010’s.
Despite Brady winning three Super Bowls this past decade to Rodgers’ one, check out the audio above as Rob details why winning Super Bowls at the quarterback position doesn’t solely anoint you as the ‘greatest’, as Rob has long been against Brady being considered the GOAT.
