Horace Grant on ESPN Chicago: "It was a complete and downright lie. LIE, LIE, LIE, LIE. If MJ had a grudge against me, let's talk about it or we can settle it in another way. I have never seen a 'number two guy' as decorated as Scottie Pippen portrayed so badly... When that documentary is about one person, basically, and he has the last word on what is going to be put out there, it is not a documentary, it's his narrative of what happen. He calls me a 'snitch', yet after 33 years he brings up his rookie year and going into one of his teammate rooms and seeing coke, and weed, and women... If you want to call someone a 'snitch', that's a damn snitch right there. 90% of it [the documentary] was BS."
Rob Parker: “Horace Grant, SIT DOWN. Please. SIT DOWN. I hate to break it to you, but nobody cares about the rest of the players!.. How did he make Scottie Pippen look bad? Those were FACTS! Somebody helped Sam Smith, Horace Grant, STOP IT. This was Michael Jordan and the reality of who he is, petty as hell, but he’s damn good and you can’t deny it. How is he a snitch?? He didn’t name anybody in the room with the girls, the coke, and the weed, THAT’S a snitch. He talked about what was going on and how he decided not to be a part of it. Horace Grant stop you’re bellyaching. That’s why you were on your way out and had to go elsewhere. Now you’re going to look back and say WHAT? Somebody gave Sam Smith information and there must be a reason why he put your name and not any other player’s name… Just step back Horace Grant, NOBODY tuned in to ‘The Last Dance’ to hear about anybody other than the GOAT.” (Full Rant Above)
Listen to Rob Parker blast former Chicago Bulls player Horace Grant after Michael Jordan’s ex-teammate lashed out against the historical accuracy of ESPN’s ‘The Last Dance’ documentary. Grant says that '90% of the documentary was a lie.'
Grant is still angry that Jordan said Grant was the player who leaked intimate and disparaging details about the team to sportswriter Sam Smith, who would later write a tell-all book called ‘The Jordan Rules.’
In Grant's interview with ESPN Chicago, he thought the portrayal surrounding Scottie Pippen's migraine game in the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals, and the infamous incident where he refused to enter a game in the final seconds of the 1993 Eastern Conference Semis was extremely disrespectful to an all-time great player.
Grant was also angered that Jordan ‘snitched’ on former Bulls teammates when discussing the ‘Bulls Traveling Cocaine Circus’, a sentiment echoed a few weeks ago by former Bulls teammate Craig Hodges.
Check out the rant above as Parker says Grant needs to ‘SIT DOWN’, saying Jordan didn’t name anyone in the room of players doing drugs, and says that the negative narrative around Pippen was completely deserved as well.
