Kansas City Is The Perfect Landing Spot For Colin Kaepernick

The NFL seems to be more tolerant with the thought of national anthem protests as well as the idea of Colin Kaepernick returning to the NFL. But Kaep will need a dancing partner. Dan Patrick believes that the Kansas City Chiefs are the perfect team to sign the former NFC Champion quarterback and that Patrick Mahomes is the key to all of it.

Dan Patrick: "Nothing has changed with Colin Kaepernick except that he's gotten older. It feels like the NFL is more tolerant of NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem. I think Patrick Mahomes is the key to all of this. When Michael Vick got out of prison, Andy Reid brought him to Philadelphia as a backup quarterback. Patrick Mahomes has the most secure job in the NFL right now. He's respected, well-liked...and he's been speaking up. I think if Colin Kaepernick is going anywhere, he's going to the Kansas City Chiefs. If he goes to Kansas City he knows he's not starting but he's back in the league. People will watch what Kaepernick does. It's a safe house for him and maybe he can get another job somewhere else. Andy Reid can do no wrong in Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes is the most powerful player in the NFL. If Patrick Mahomes asked Andy Reid about bringing in Kaepernick...I think they'd look at it from a football perspective and see him as a good backup. It might not be fair to Matt Moore...but if you're going to bring in Kaepernick I think that might be the place. It makes the most sense.
