COVID-19: 16 Out of 302 NBA Players Test Positive For Coronavirus

NBA Announces Possible Re-Opening Of Team Practice Facilities Starting In May

Adam Silver and the NBA announced that 16 players have tested positive for COVID-19 in the league's first round of testing as they prepare to restart the season. 302 players were tested on June 23 as they get set to begin individual workouts in their home cities.

The players have all been placed in isolation and will have to be cleared by a doctor before they can begin working out with their teams.

While the league did not identify the players, Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon and Sacramento Kings teammates Jabari Parker and Alex Lensaid that they have tested positive.

The NBA is planning to resume its season at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Players will be able to hold individual workouts at their teams' facilities starting on July 1. On July 7, teams will be allowed to arrive in Florida to begin training camps, which will run from July 9-29. The first official game is slated for July 30.
