2020 NFL Team Previews According to Vegas: Washington Football Team

Listen to NFL Vegas sharps RJ Bell and Steve Fezzik join Jonas Knox on ‘Straight Out of Vegas’ to preview the 31st ranked team on their 2020 win/total predictions, the Washington Football Team.

The dormant franchise will try and turn the page on a tumultuous decade of bottom-feeding that will first begin with an entirely new name, as the former ‘Redskins’ moniker was finally put out to pasture by unrelenting social, corporate, and political pressure centered around the etymology of the word being used as a slur towards Native Americans.

For the 2020 season, the franchise will simply be called ‘The Washington Football Team’ as it has been reported that the franchise will undertake a vigorous re-naming project that could take over a year to complete. They will retain the garnet and gold colors, but will use player numbers on the sides of their helmets instead of the memorable side profile of the Native American chief.

Washington’s win total sits at 5.5 despite the team rolling into 2020 with arguably the worst offense in the league, as they finished dead last in in points scored and passing yards in 2019, and starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins posted a league-worst 26.8 QBR.

Second-year wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who led all rookies in receiving yards last season, is the team’s best fantasy option.
