Kawhi Leonard Replaces LeBron James as 'King' of NBA With 2020 Finals Win

Rob Parker: “If the Clippers win this championship, and I believe they will, it will make Kawhi Leonard the KING of the NBA… He would have won back-to-back championships with two franchises who had never won anything until he put on their uniform. Toronto last year, and then the Clippers this year. That would give him three NBA championships, and that would make him the first person to LEAD, not just be on the team, but be the lead dog on three title teams. He could have joined Anthony Davis and LeBron James and had ‘easy street’ with a three-headed monster like we’ve never seen, but instead he decided to go to the Clippers. He didn’t want to join royalty and LeBron, he wanted to join the court jesters of basketball. If he winds up winning this I think he becomes the face of basketball. Three championships with three different teams, and ultimately three Finals MVP would be an impressive resume.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Rob Parker and Bernie Fratto explain why they think Kawhi Leonard will replace LeBron James as the ‘King’ of the NBA, and the face of the league if the Los Angeles Clippers win the 2020 NBA Finals later this summer.

If the Clippers win the Finals this year Leonard would potentially become the first player in league history to win three NBA Finals MVPs with three different teams. Leonard for the second consecutive season would also bring an expansion franchise their first ever NBA title, with Leonard gifting the Toronto Raptors with a ring last year.

Check out the segment above as Parker and Fratto detail why the resume is already there to make the case at Kawhi being the NBA’s best player, if he isn’t already.
