Colin Cowherd: Brett Brown Shouldn't Be Blamed For 76ers' Failed 'Dynasty'

Colin Cowherd: “Did Brett Brown trade away every shooter on the roster? Did Brett Brown demand they move up to get Markelle Fultz? Did Brett Brown say we should pay Tobias Harris, a ‘B’ player, $180 million? Did Brett Brown in a shooter’s league say ‘we need more size, Al Horford!’ What do you do with Ben Simmons? He doesn’t appear to be interested. Maybe you can bench him, but good luck in the NBA doing that. Stars run this league and they always have. It’s not a coaches league, that’s the NFL. Baseball is a GM sport and hockey is a goalie sport. NBA is a star-driven league. Mike D'antoni is TOLD when James Harden will be at practice… People say Brett Brown is ‘too easy on guys.’ Maybe he is, but if you’re not you’re out of work.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he doesn’t think 76ers coach Brett Brown should take the blame for Philadelphia’s failed ‘dynasty’ that many people had envisioned a few seasons ago when the team started to build up an impressive young core of lottery pick Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and Markelle Fultz.

Three years into the finished ‘Process’ the 76ers have only two series wins in that same span, including an embarrassing first round sweep to the Celtics this past weekend which will likely get Brett Brown fired.

Check out the video above as Colin details why it’s not Brown’s fault that the front office designed a disaster that was destined to implode.
