Clay Travis Tees off on Gov. of Michigan for Not Valuing Education & Sports

Clay Travis is fired up this morning. The Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, stated yesterday that she is "glad" that the Big 10 and high schools across her state have decided to cancel their sports seasons for this upcoming fall. Clay also lays into the Mayor of his hometown of Nashville, as he has cancelled fall sports for public schools across the city, even though the rest of the state of Tennessee is allowed to play, and so are the private schools in the Nashville area.

Clay doesn't understand why these people are making these decisions that are literally changing lives in the wrong way. For a lot of these kids, sports is a huge reason for success later in life. For many, sports is the only motivator to keep up with and stay in school. Sports is a way for kids to stay out of trouble, and a gateway to academic success beyond the high school level.

If you look at the data, like Clay argues, then there's no logical explanation to the decisions that are being made by politicians like the Governor of Michigan and the Mayor of Nashville.
