Colin Cowherd’s Five Most Obvious Predictions For the 2020 NFL Season

Colin Cowherd: “I think these are completely obvious NFL takes for the season starting. These are OBVIOUS and are not even contrarian takes…

1. The Raiders will be bad again because they were horrible last year, couldn’t score past Week 12, they got blown out 6 times by 18 points or more, and with no preseason or OTAs how will they have sandpapered what was a mess last year??

2. The Patriots will have their worst year in two decades. Eight players opted-out, they lost several key free agents, the greatest quarterback of all time left, the best offensive line coach retired, and the division is better.

3. Joe Burrow is going to struggle. He’s going to get mauled and he’s not going to win 5 games. The division is better, the defenses in Cleveland, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh up-front are scary, and Burrow didn’t have a preseason. He’s going to look AWFUL in most weeks, and will look completely and utterly overwhelmed.

4. The Ravens can go undefeated. Have you looked at the schedule? They almost never travel West, they return everyone and added players, they have the easiest schedule in the NFL, they don’t really have a weak spot, they finally addressed an average pass rush by getting Calais Campbell, and Lamar Jackson? That’s the 'question'? He won MVP!

5. The Cowboys will be average. 9-7 in the NFL is kind of average, they’re not going to be ‘bad.’ Offensive line is getting old and they lost a Hall of Famer, Zeke is a little slower every year, new coach, new system, and there was no preseason. They got Ceedee Lamb, but since when did great wide receiving corps win the league? You look at that schedule and tell me where it’s easy.
