The Pac-12 will reportedly play a seven-game conference football season beginning November 6th.
This decision by the PAC 12 has come in the wake of a similar announcement last week from the Big Ten, which will start its season October 24th.
Each of the conference’s teams will reportedly play seven games and the conference title game would be December 18. The decision would allow the Pac-12 to be considered as part of the College Football Playoff selection process. A Pac-12 team hasn’t made the playoff since Washington lost to Alabama in the Peach Bowl at the end of the 2016 season.
Oregon (9th), Southern Cal (17th), and Utah (22nd) were the only three Pac-12 teams ranked in the Associated Press preseason top 25.
The conference has never won a College Football Playoff championship, and 2003 USC was the last school from the formerly known ‘Pac-10’ to win a National Championship.
