Listen to Clay Travis open up his ‘Outkick the Coverage’ show with his instant reaction to the news of President Donald Trump testing positive for the coronavirus.
The President broke the news on his Twitter account at 12:54 ET, tweeting:
‘Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!’
The tweet incited firestorm on Twitter, with the tweet having already garnered 380,000 replies, 465,000 retweets, and 1.4 million likes as of noon ET on Friday, not even 12 hours after the tweet became one of the most viral posts in the history of the social networking service.
Trump has appeared on ‘Outkick the Coverage’ twice in the last several months. The first time on August 11th talking about the return of pro sports amid the pandemic, the NBA’s submissive relationship with China, and Joe Biden’s pick for Vice President (at the time still undecided), but much more memorably on September 17th when Trump made it public that he had spoken to Big Ten President Kevin Warren in attempt to push the Big Ten to reverse its decision on cancelling their college football season.
The Big Ten did eventually change their mind on postponing their college football season, and Trump has gone on record, including at the latest Presidential Debate, saying he was the driving force.
