Lakers Fans Start Petition to Deny Kyle Kuzma Being Given Championship Ring

It’s clear that some fans feel like Kyle Kuzma has failed to live up to expectations that Los Angeles had for him when the Lakers drafted him a couple years ago.

One fan decided to go to change.org and create a petition that will not allow Kuzma to get a championship ring if indeed the Lakers do win the entire thing. Here is what he said.

“Kyle Kuzma shouldn't get a ring if the LA Lakers win the 2020 NBA Finals,” the petition reads. As of writing, the petition has collected over 4,000 signatures, with it seeking a max of 5,000.

Kuzma has averaged 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists on just 35.7% shooting from the field in the three first three games of the NBA Finals versus the Miami Heat.

The Lakers currently hold a 2-1 lead in the series after Miami avoided a sweep by hammering Los Angeles in a series saving Game 3 victory, 115-104 on Sunday night. Kuzma had 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 0 assists.

Kuzma posted a career-low in scoring in 2019/2020, scoring just 12.8 per game after he averaged a career-high 18.7 points last season, and 16.1 the year before as a rookie.
