Doug Gottlieb: Tom Brady is Hurting the Buccaneers' Potential

Doug Gottlieb: “Bruce Arians said ‘Mike was open, the ball wasn’t thrown to him.’ That’s a Tom Brady issue. Arians has always been a guy who speaks the truth from his perspective… Their biggest win this year was the Packers, but the story of that game was NOT Tom Brady. The story was the defense and how they came back after being down 10-0, had a pick-6, and were in Aaron Rodgers’ kitchen all day long. Bruce Arians is simply saying what we have said, which is ‘Tom Brady is not an elite quarterback anymore.’ If anything, he’s kind of holding the Bucs back of who they want to be… Tom Brady is just not what his reputation tells you he should be… Arians is right. Brady needs to be better or they’re not going to achieve what their talent is meant to achieve. Even for the best of ‘em, this is how it always ends… The downfall of the Patriots was just not the personnel of the wide receivers. All everyone said was ‘well, they didn’t have enough skill position players.’ Could that include quarterback??” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Doug Gottlieb discuss Bruce Arians’ recent potshot at Tom Brady, and explain why he thinks Brady might just be the one holding back the Buccaneers from being a Super Bowl favorite.

Check out the video above as Gottlieb says it’s time we just admit that Brady is not what he once was, and simply isn’t that great anymore.
