Colin Cowherd's 'Four Bitter Truths' About Russell Westbrook We Must Admit

Colin Cowherd: “Here’s the reality with Russell Westbrook. You have to admit four things:
1. He was NEVER a number one. Since KD left, in four years he has one playoff series win. ‘Number 1’s’ in this league do not struggle to get out of the first round, even in the West. He’s NEVER been a ‘1.’
2. He’s a ‘complementary star’, he just doesn’t understand it. That’s what took D-Wade from a really good basketball player, to a three-time champ. D-Wade realized ‘oh, Shaq is better, LeBron is better.’ Westbrook literally joined James Harden and then took MORE shots than he took the year before. He’s a complementary star, not THE star.
3. He shoots too much. Last year he took the second most shots of his career, and he still shoots four three’s a game. He should be scoring in transition, driving to the basket, taking some midrange jumpers, and that is IT. NO MORE THREE’S. Everybody gets that except him.
4. Because he’s so hyper-athletic, as his athleticism wanes, he’s not only NOT a number one, but he’s probably a number three on really talented teams. He’d be a number three on the Lakers, a number three on Brooklyn, and a number three on the Warriors.
There’s a lesson to be learned with Westbrook. Stubborn and rigid NEVER win in any industry. Michael will bring him on in Charlotte to simply save his shoe deal, and make it feel like he’s still cool and there’s still a market for Westbrook.” (Full Video Above)
