Doug Gottlieb Says the Patriots Dynasty is Not Over Yet
Doug Gottlieb: “I think the Patriots’ dynasty has a great chance at returning… We would have no idea what the Patriots would look like if they didn’t have those eight opt-outs. They’ve drafted well on the offensive line two of the last three years, their defense was still elite last year, and I don’t think anyone would argue that they would be better if they had Tom Brady. They’re going to have the third most cap space in the coming offseason, and they’re going to be drafting high for the first time. I don’t know what’s going to happen with Dont’a Hightower, and Patrick Chung, but when they return that’s a good defense again… If you have the same coach, if you have the right leadership, and if you have the right plan, you can rebuild it. That’s what the Warriors are planning. They had a year to press reset, but they kept Steve Kerr, they kept their core, and they will try to figure out everything else around it. The Tom Brady portion of the era is obviously over, but Belichick finds ways to win games, he’s found a way to get guys off the scrap heap, he’s drafted well outside of wide receiver than he’s been given credit for, so just to guess, I don’t think this dynasty is over. It’s a pause and it’s a reboot… Leadership in the front office and the coaching staff allows you to hang around for a long time. Those great football guys just figure it out.” (Full Audio Above)

Listen to Doug Gottlieb explain why he doesn’t think the New England Patriots 20-year dynasty is over yet, and why he thinks they’re just simply ‘pausing and rebooting’, and will be fully equipped to continue their NFL supremacy next season with loads of cap space and a high draft pick.

Check out the audio above as Gottlieb details why we should never count out any Bill Belichick-led organization.
