Rockets Shouldn't Cave to James Harden & Russell Westbrook's Trade Demands

Listen to Doug Gottlieb explain why he doesn’t think the Houston Rockets should cave to the recent trade demands of James Harden and Russell Westbrook, as both former MVPs have been mentioned in trade rumors all week.

After purging their coaching staff with the firing of Mike D’Antoni, and finally severing ties with longtime sabermetric architect Daryl Morey, the Rockets turned the page on a decade with undeniable success in the regular season and early playoff rounds, but a decade that yielded zero NBA Finals appearances.

Former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Kevin Durant is reportedly recruiting Harden to the Nets, but Gottlieb says the Rockets need to stop the madness right now, and never send a precedent out there that they’ll just trade any player at their request at the drop of a hat, no matter how many years they have left on their contract.

Check out the full video above as Gottlieb details why it’s time Harden and Westbrook get a cold dose of reality.
