Colin Cowherd Ranks the Top 10 NFL Teams Heading Into Week 14

Herd Hierarchy: Colin Cowherd Ranks the 10 Best NFL Teams After Week 13 – December 8th

(VIDEO SEGMENT ABOVE)

10. Seattle Seahawks (8-4) (4)

“I know they lost, but I still think they’re better over 5 games than the Giants. It was their first home loss of the year, the defense has 21 sacks since Week 9 – most in the league, and DK Metcalf leads the league in receiving yards. They had a clunker because their offensive line for 4 quarters got pushed all over the field by the Giants. The Raiders beat the Chiefs in Arrowhead; do we think they’re better?? Washington beat the Steelers last night; do we think they’re better?? Not over time. I think Seattle is better than the Giants over time, but the Giants deserve credit for the win, and Seattle should be dropped to just number 10.”

9. Miami Dolphins (8-4) (unranked)

“Seattle beat Miami earlier, but I don’t know if they beat them today. The Dolphins have won 7 of 8, and their defense is number two in the league in scoring. Mark Schlereth said last weekend that their defense is ‘confusing’ people. Xavier Howard leads the NFL in picks, their Draft picks are hitting it out of the park, and Tua does not turn the ball over. They’re like a really young New Orleans Saints team when Drew Brees came in. They’re building stuff, they’re not there yet, but they got this quarterback who’s accurate, smart, and never turns the ball over. Love their head coach too.”

8. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-1) (2)

“Folks, this is what they are, and I may be being kind. They had 5+ dropped passes again last night. They’re averaging 55 yards rushing since Week 8, the worst in the league. Big Ben has 45 or more passing attempts in the last month, the most in the league. Three of their four remaining games they face the Bills, Colts, and Browns – all with winning records. This team isn’t doing a ton right, and their injuries are piling up on their defense. I’ve got them at 8 and I’m being kind.”

7. Cleveland Browns (9-3) (10)

“Cleveland would beat Pittsburgh today. Cleveland has the number one rushing offense, Baker Mayfield is not turning it over, and they’re not asking him to throw a ton. Here’s what is interesting; Odell Beckham Jr. was hurt in the opening drive of Week 7, and Baker Mayfield since then has 11 touchdowns, one pick, and a passer rating of 112. Odell is great and Baker has talent but they’re a BAD FIT. Baker was forcing the ball to Beckham, and since he’s gotten hurt Baker is a different quarterback. I don’t love their defense, but I think offensively right now they have the ability to eat the clock and Baker is not turning it over.”

6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-5) (9)

“I think the Browns would lose head-to-head with Tampa Bay. Bucs are coming off a bye and they’re struggling right now, but they finish with four games against teams .500 or worse. Brady is great off a bye, and I think teams that are talented off a bye – especially without preseason – will right the ship. They have the number one rushing defense in the NFL, and they take the ball away.”
