Clay Travis: The AFC Playoffs Will Be a High Scoring, Offensive Showcase

Clay flew his family to Orlando for the start of Christmas week, but that doesn't stop him from joining Jason Martin on Monday's program to react to what was a great Sunday of NFL action. The regular season is in its final stretch, and the AFC playoff picture is looking like one that will feature offensive showdowns.

If you look at the teams in the AFC that have a great chance at making a Super Bowl run, all their offenses are very dangerous. The Chiefs have the best quarterback in the NFL, and they can hang 35 points on anybody at will it seems. The Bills are a team with a high-octane offense that could potentially go score for score with the Chiefs. The Titans, Colts and Browns are the other AFC teams that can put up a ton of points as well.

Clay believes that defense in this year's playoffs on the AFC side won't really matter in the traditional sense. To beat the Chiefs, your offense needs to score at least 35 points. Those are the teams that have a chance. Gone are the days of "defense wins championships."

Clay clearly thinks offense will be the key to winning in the AFC playoffs, but what one factor on defense does he believe could make a difference?
