The Only Team the Lakers Would Be Scared of in a 7-Game Series

Jason Smith: “I don’t see the Clippers being able to beat the Lakers in a 7-game series. They just didn’t get better enough to overcome how much better the Lakers got with Dennis Schroder, Marc Gasol, and Montrezl Harrell… There is only one team right now that can beat the Lakers in a 7-game series. ONE TEAM IN THE NBA. Nobody in the East can do it, and nobody else got better enough to do it. The only team that can beat the Lakers is the Nuggets. The Nuggets were a really good team before they got to the Bubble, they showed you how good they are, and yes, the Lakers eliminated them but it was an up and down series that could have gone either way. They have their two stars in Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, they're young, and that’s enough to worry about, but you also have Michael Porter, Jr. who could be a big superstar. You have Will Barton who is a terrific scorer, and he’s like Lou Williams, except he can score in even more bunches. He wasn’t 100% when they got back to the Bubble and he’s a big addition for them, now being asked to come off the bench. Now they got their home court back and the thin air. JaMychal Green is a great two-way player… This is the ONLY team who can beat the Lakers, and the most dangerous teams the Lakers are thinking ‘we need to avoid this team at all costs.’” (Full Video Above)
