Why a Cowboys Win in Week 17 Would Cripple Dak Prescott's Future Earnings

Why Cowboys' Week 17 Game Could Determine Dak Prescott's Future Earnings
Colin Cowherd: “If Dallas beats the Giants on Sunday, and Washington with a third-string quarterback loses, Dallas is in the playoffs and Andy Dalton would have gone 5-2 since the bye with no preseason, inheriting a new coach, a new system, new team, and dealing with a concussion, and COVID. His numbers vs. Dak’s numbers are virtually the same, but Dak will want $38 million – more than Aaron Rodgers, more than Russell Wilson, more than Tom Brady, and it’s almost more than anyone not named Patrick Mahomes. Does that seem like a good business decision?? What if Andy Dalton beats the Eagles AND the Giants down the stretch and the offense looks good? Dak last year couldn’t even generate a touchdown against an injury-ravaged Eagles team in Week 17. If Andy Dalton wins, goes 5-2 down the stretch, has the same numbers as Dak, and Dak is wanting $37-$38 million off an ugly injury, man I would be struggling with that. I see the Jimmy G, Wentz, Goff, and Matt Ryan contracts, and don’t think any of those teams like those contracts now.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Cowboys’ Week 17 game versus the Giants could have major implications for Dak Prescott’s future earnings, as a Dallas win coupled with a Washington loss would mean that Andy Dalton did what Dak couldn’t do last season, which is win an NFC East Championship on the season's final day.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he thinks a division title for the Cowboys would all but seal Dak’s fate being denied the massive long-term deal that he deeply desires.
