NFL Running Back Arrested on DUI Charges in Crash Hours After Week 17 Game

Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, 22, was arrested Monday morning on a DUI charge, according to Las Vegas police. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed that Jacobs was booked on January 4th in connection with a crash around 4:40 a.m. at the McCarran Airport tunnel near Sunset Road. Police said the crash involved one vehicle and that impairment was suspected.

Jacobs' lawyers quickly pushed back to the chargers, releasing a statement reading:

"No complaint has been filed against our client and there are no blood test results to support a suggestion of impairment. We intend to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of Mr. Jacobs if he is ever charged."

The Las Vegas Raiders season ended on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Jacobs carried 15 times for 89 yards and scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns in the 32-31 win over the Broncos.

Jacobs made the Pro Bowl this year in just his second season after rushing for 1,065 yards and scoring 12 touchdowns.
