Bill Belichick and Patriots Need to Make a Play for Deshaun Watson

The first NFL offseason bomb dropped this past weekend with the trade that sent Mathew Stafford to the Rams and Jared Goff to the Lions, and Clay Travis believes that there is more to come.

The biggest name out there right now is obviously Deshaun Watson. He has officially requested a trade from the Houston Texans, and if he gets traded, the team he lands with will immediately become a major threat.

Clay says there's one team that really stands out among all the others in terms of who could really use Deshaun Watson, and that is the New England Patriots. The Patriots got hardly anything out of quarterback Cam Newton this season, and Bill Belichick is not accustomed to losing. It's got to pain Belichick deep down seeing Tom Brady in yet another Super Bowl.

The Patriots need a new star quarterback, and it will take a guy like Watson to get them back to being a legit contender. If Bill Belichick wants to keep competing for Super Bowls, then he will have to do something that he really has never done. He will need to give up a ton of draft picks, assets, and "overpay" for Deshaun Watson.
