Rob Parker: Nick Saban and Alabama Have Killed College Football

Rob Parker: “College Football as we know it is DEAD. If I’m a college football fan who thinks they’re in the mix for some National Championship, just forget about it. It’s turned into the ‘Alabama Invitational’ for the most part. Alabama and Clemson get all the players, all the kids want to go there, and all the other schools have to fend for themselves. How can you get excited about college football?? We know what’s going to happen at the end. Somebody already told me how the movie is going to end year after year, after year. It’s great if you’re an Alabama fan, Nick Saban, or Clemson. I actually thought Ohio State had a chance to beat them and they got embarrassed. Now you’re telling me they got the ‘greatest class ever’ coming in on top of what they just had?? Should they even play or should they just give them the trophy?? I don’t know how anyone is looking forward to the Fall and the start of college football… It takes the thrill out of it. You don’t already know who is going to win in most sports, but this is really down to almost a given, and that’s dangerous when you get to that level.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Rob Parker discuss the reports of Alabama once again dominating National Signing Day, and explain why he thinks college football is ‘DEAD’. Rob believes it’s Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide as the assailants, and thinks Alabama’s overwhelming dominance over the last 12 years has ruined the sport from a fan’s perspective.

Saban has won six National Championships since he took the job in Tuscaloosa before the 2007 season. After going 7-6 his first season, Alabama would reach the number one ranking by the middle of the 2008 season, and become the first program in history to be ranked number one at some point in a season for 13 consecutive years.

Check out the video above as Parker details how the sport has become a re-run of the same movie we have seen over and over again.
