Doug Gottlieb rejects the idea that the Big 10 struggled because they just weren’t as good as everyone thought. Firstly, their losses were mostly close games that could have gone either way. Secondly, we rely too much on what the ‘experts’ say about each conference. And lastly, the style of play that wins games in the Big 10 isn’t necessarily the same style that can be successful in the Tourney.
