We are now 8 days away from the NFL Draft, and there's a team in the top 5 that has a major decision to make. The Cincinnati Bengals are sitting there at 5, and they essentially have two options with their pick. Many consider the smart move to be protecting Joe Burrow by drafting offensive tackle Penei Sewell out of Oregon. Others are predicting Burrow reunites with his explosive LSU pass catcher Ja'Marr Chase.
Clay Travis has some interesting data points to share regarding first round wide receivers drafted in recent years. There is basically no difference in production and success rate between the guys that have been taken in the first round and the receivers that have been taken in the second round.
The wide receiver position has gotten so talented and skilled in the college game, there very well could be little to no difference between Ja'Marr Chase and a target like Elijah Moore, out of Ole Miss.
