NASCAR Driver Bubba Wallace joined The Doug Gottlieb Show to discuss his historic win at YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway this past Monday. Wallace became the second Black driver to claim a victory in a NASCAR Cup Series race, and spoke about keeping his emotions in check at Talladega, especially with rain becoming a factor in the race.

Doug Gottlieb and NASCAR fans alike know that Bubba Wallace is a force on the racetrack, and asks Wallace what he thinks this victory at Talladega means for his career and his story.

Doug Gottlieb: “Look, everyone said you could really drive, you’ve won at other levels, but to win at this level, what does it do for your career and your story?”

Bubba Wallace: “Having a win under my name adds a lot of credibility. It’s very uplifting for me, my family, and our team and so we have a lot of momentum on our sides. Obviously, we know how this sport can be and it’ll humble you real quick. We have to use the momentum in a positive way to hopefully go out and grab another dub.”
