Blazin' 5: Colin Cowherd Gives His Five Best NFL Bets For Week 11 (November 21st)

(VIDEO SEGMENT ABOVE)

Last Week's Blazin' 5 record: 4-1

2021 Blazin' 5 record: 23-28-1) (Colin made bonus picks in Week 4 & 5)

Colts (5-5) at Bills (6-3) (SPREAD: BUF -7)

“I like the Colts getting 7 points even though I think Buffalo should win. It’s going to be windy and wet weather in Buffalo, it’s going to snow on Monday so you got a cold front coming in. The Colts defense forces turnovers and l like their offense. Last 7 games with Carson Wentz they’re 5-2 and he has a 104 passer rating. Wentz has thrown zero interceptions in 7 of his last 8 starts. I think Wentz is having a very good year he just had a stinker against Tennessee. Do we overvalue the Bills because of a Mike Tyson quality to bury bad quarterbacks? Five of their six wins have come against Jacoby Brissett, Tua, Taylor Heinicke, Davis Mills, and Mike White. They’re a little overvalued. Buffalo wins but I like the Colts +7 to keep it really, really close, I think the game will mostly -- with two good defenses -- be played between the twenties.”

Colin's prediction: Bills 26, Colts 23

Colin's pick: Indianapolis +7

Packers (8-2) at Vikings (4-5) (SPREAD: GB -1)

“I’ll take Minnesota +1 with the upset. First of all, they’re the only team in the NFL who has led every game this year by at least 7 points. Minnesota’s defense leads the league in sacks, and that’s important because Aaron Rodgers has had a bad year against pressure. Aaron’s passer rating under pressure this year is 14.9. Rodgers has struggled against pressure and Minnesota gets pressure. The Vikings offense is explosive and is only one of four offenses in the league this year with 250+ passing yards and 120+ rushing yards per game. Kirk Cousins in his career has been very effective against Green Bay. The Packers are beat up – Aaron Jones, Jaire Alexander, Za'Darious Smith, Robert Tonyan, David Bakhtiari, and Aaron Rodgers has a toe injury, so he’s not 100%. I pick an upset every week so here it is, Minnesota 28, Green Bay 27.”

Colin's prediction: Vikings 28, Packers 27.

Colin's pick: Minnesota +1

Saints (5-4) at Eagles (4-6) (SPREAD: PHI -2)

“I can’t believe the Saints are getting points, they’re the better team. I’ll take the Saints to win plus the two points. The Saints are coming off back to back losses but they outgained both of their opponents. The Saints are overlooked. The Saints are 4-0 against the spread as an underdog and Sean Payton is a great underdog coach. Philadelphia’s defense is not going to ravage a backup quarterback, and the Eagles haven’t won a home game this year, they’re 0-4. Quarterbacks on average complete 74% of their throws against the Eagles, and their opponents’ passer rating is 102. You can beat Philadelphia in Philadelphia with a backup. The Eagles defense is not going to shut the Saints down, Sean Payton will come up with tricks, I think the Saints are the better team with an underrated defense, take the Saints and the points to win outright, 26-24.”

Colin's prediction: Saints 26, Eagles 24.

Colin's pick: New Orleans +2

Cardinals (8-2) at Seahawks (3-6) (SPREAD: ARI -1.5)

“Seattle’s season is on the line, I’m going to take Seattle to beat Arizona. The line is only 1.5 so it’s going to be close, it’s a divisional game. Last week the Seahawks got shut out and Russell Wilson is 35-11 off losses; he’s the best ‘off a loss’ quarterback in the league. Kyler Murray’s ankle isn’t right so he’s not practicing all the time and he’s not completely healthy. My guess is that they might get down and pull him because Arizona has a bye next week and because the Rams lost it’s not as urgent a performance for Arizona. Season on the line, Russell Wilson a little healthier, Seattle got humiliated last week, and my rule is always good quarterbacks who get humiliated, watch them the next week. I'll take Seattle to beat Arizona outright as a dog 27-23.”
Colin's prediction: Seahawks 27, Cardinals 23.

Colin's pick: Seattle +1.5

Steelers (5-3-1) at Chargers (5-4) (SPREAD: LAC -6)

“I went back and forth on this but I’m going to take Pittsburgh. Mike Tomlin is a great underdog coach, and he’s also very effective against first and second year quarterbacks. In the Tomlin era with the Steelers, first and second year quarterbacks have struggled, and have only completed 57% of their throws against a Tomlin defense, and their passing rating is 78. Justin Herbert, who has regressed in the last month, is a baby. The Chargers defense is the worst rushing defense in the league, and the Steelers offense in five straight games has over 100 yards rushing. This will almost be a home game for the Steelers and 70-80% of the crowd will be Steelers fans in Los Angeles. This is built for Mike Tomlin, the best underdog coach in this league, to win. We always talk about Belichick against young quarterbacks, Tomlin similarly eats them up, Steelers win 24-21 as a 6-point dog.”

Colin's prediction: Steelers 24, Chargers 21.

Colin's pick: Pittsburgh +6
